PTEC 212 Industrial Processes & Equipment 5 CR The purpose of this course is to provide the student with an understanding of the typical process systems employed in process technology companies such as: petroleum refining, wastewater treatment, food processing, pulp and paper processing, and power generation. Special emphasis will be placed upon systems that are utilized by local area process technology companies. Lab assignments and activities will be conducted to illustrate and simulate typical industrial processes. The student will understand construction, theory of operation, and typical uses of process industry equipment. Prerequisite(s): PTEC 110 .
