WLD 267 Marine Welding 4 CR Topics covered will include: ship yard safety and hazards, confined spaces, inclement weather, flame cutting, carbon arc gouging, and out-of-position welding (wire-feed and stick processes). Ideal for students preparing to job hunt or professionals looking to transition trades. Basic welding experience and personal protective equipment required. This class is physically demanding and will require kneeling, crouching, and crawling in awkward positions, standing on ladders, and working in tight spaces. This class is not recommended for inhibited individuals or those with severe claustrophobia. Prerequisite(s): Instructor Permission
