PHYS& 222 Engineering Physics II w/Lab 5 CR PHYS& 222 is a calculus-based introduction to electricity and magnetism that prepares students for coursework in engineering. The course introduces the fundamental principles of electricity and magnetism: electrostatics; magnetic fields of steady currents; time-varying electric and magnetic fields; DC and AC circuits. Conceptual development and problem solving have equal emphasis. Laboratory work includes an introduction to design, experimental methods and data analysis. Prerequisite(s): PHYS& 221 with a C or higher. Completion Of or Concurrent Enrollment In: MATH& 152 .
