AUTO 100 Introduction to Automotive Technology 8 CR This course will familiarize the student with the shop, tools, and equipment within the automotive repair industry. Students will learn safe work and tool practices, proper procedures for performing various service type repairs and inspections on various types of equipment, the basic operating principles of a four-cycle engine, and to use technology to access service information data. Prerequisite(s): ACCUPLACER Reading (247) or higher OR RDG 085 with a C or higher and
ACCUPLACER Writing (245) or higher OR ENGL 092 with a C or higher and
ACCUPLACER Arithmetic (230) or higher OR ABE 050 with a C or higher Corequisite(s): AUTO 102 and AUTO 113
