MATH 090 Pre-Algebra 5 CR A developmental math course to help students make the transition from Arithmetic to Algebra. Students will increase their math skills and gain the foundation for algebraic concepts and problem-solving. Topics include fractions, sets of numbers, applied problem solving, use of variables, simplifying expressions, and setting up equations to solve. Prerequisite(s): Fall Quarter 2024 - ACCUPLACER Classic Arithmetic (38) or ACCUPLACER NextGen Arithmetic (230) OR ABE 050 with a C or higher.
Starting Winter Quarter 2025 - Placement into MATH 090 or completion of ABE 050 with a C or higher. Completion Of or Concurrent Enrollment In: Fall Quarter 2024 - CDEV 100 with a C or higher.
Starting Winter Quarter 2025 - Completion of CDEV 100 with a C or higher OR concurrent enrollment in CDEV 100.
