AUTO 100 Introduction to Automotive Technology 8 CR This course will familiarize the student with the shop, tools, and equipment within the automotive repair industry. Students will learn safe work and tool practices, proper procedures for performing various service type repairs and inspections on various types of equipment, the basic operating principles of a four-cycle engine, and to use technology to access service information data. Prerequisite(s): Fall Quarter 2024 - ACCUPLACER Reading (247) or higher OR RDG 085 with a C or higher, and ACCUPLACER Writing (245) or higher OR ENGL 092 with a C or higher, and ACCUPLACER Arithmetic (230) or higher OR ABE 050 with a C or higher.
Starting Winter Quarter 2025 - Completion of ABE 050 and ENGL 095 , both with a C or higher OR Placement into AENGL 100 and AMATH 100 .
